Carroll High School
is proud to have three very talented concert bands.
Beginning Concert
Band is a course designed for those students desiring
a band experience, but not desiring to participate in many
extra activities (Marching Band, full concert schedule etc.).
This is also a good choice for students who only want to be
in band long enough to earn their fine arts credit. Each student
is expected to continue development of their individual technique
and musicianship as they study, rehearse, and perform a variety
of styles of music. Participation in the scheduled concerts
is required. Students may also go onto intermediate or advanced
bands following completion of beginning concert band.
Intermediate Concert
Band is our intermediate level performing concert ensemble.
Each student is expected to continue the development of techniques
and musicianship as we study, rehearse, and perform a variety
of styles of concert literature. The performance opportunities
in which we utilize these skills are required. This course
is open to all students who have experience on a a musical
instrument.
Advanced Concert Band
is our advanced level performing concert ensemble. Each student
is expected to continue the development of advanced techniques
and musicianship as we study, rehearse, and perform advanced
level concert literature. The performance opportunities in
which we utilize these skills are required. This course should
be only for the serious music student.
A musical audition is required for placement into this band.
